Literally apples and oranges. Prime 4 was simply a reveal, just like the RDR 2 thing we had last year. The Kojima film trailer was supposed to sell the game. Instead of getting gameplay or any sense of the story, we got another Hideo Kojima joint that literally looked like babby's first film school project. If Prime 4's first trailer looks and feels like a B movie, then feel free to complain.

Kojima was just coming off of an ugly split from Konami, it was cool to see him come back and release some new stuff after how well received MGSV's trailers were. and to his credit he decided against showing anything else this E3 until he had something other than cinematic trailers. so hopefully at E3 2018, or at future events we'll see something more concrete. there's the Tokyo Game Show and usually Sony has their own tradeshow they do later in the year.

i don't think either criticisms are valid. E3 is a huge show, it's cool for Nintendo to throw a bone to Metroid fans who have been left in the cold with garbage like that Federation Hunters game or whatever it was that was clearly not what Metroid fans want. at least they know between the 2.5D 3DS game and a new Prime game for the Switch they have something to look forward to.

it would be weird for a company to just randomly say "hey X game is in the works" but at E3 it's valid, especially to build hype. it's puzzling Sony didn't do this for some of the games retards/casuals were lusting after like another Last Of Us to try to show more stuff but whatever.

Prime 4 will probably come out before Death Stranding, and next year we will see a full live unscripted gameplay demo for Prime 4, during the treehouse, next year if you're lucky you will get another cinematic trailer for Death Stranding and a 2020 release date teaser

You really need to give Nintendo credit, they announced what like 8 games this year with a this year release date, and like 2 of them had a release date less than 4 months after they were announced, if they keep this up they will bury the competition, and I think with the 3ds being retired they absolutely will.
