Skyrim is a bad example. The remaster is locked to 30FPS because Bethesda are lazy fucks and running at higher framerates on PC break the physics. They couldn't be bothered to fix it so they kept the 30FPS cap. You can actually unlock the framerate on the xbone with a mod and it runs a locked 60.
