Why aren't video games evolving anymore?
Seems like since 2008 shit has been stagnate
when the ds came out it was $500
the switch is only $200 and it has antialiasing
Wrong.
Video games have been stagnate since 2009, not 2008.
After MW2 came out, there were no more improvements to the video game industry, and there haven't been since.

The Last of Us
Metroid is garbage.

Wrong
Switch is sold at 330$
DS was released at 150$
Fake news

they don't have to be innovative. I hate progressive meme. Just give us Metroid Prime Trilogy in HD with good levels.

what do you think evolving entails
>>380363194
Not staying the same
>>380362332
Christ almighty, for a board about video games you people sure don't know a lot about them.
>>380361964
to be fair, mario kart 8 also liiked worse before it came out. Also every 3d game on the ds looks like shit due to resolution.

But they are evolving. You're just playing the wrong ones.

But the most artistically valuable game ever made just came out in 2016.
>>380363308
they aren't the same
they adapt to changing tastes in the market
this process is more refinement than revolution

Because as soon as a game evolves people complain and whine about how "THIS IS NOT THE GAME I REMEMBER!!! THEY RUINED EVERYTHING!!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!". Sometimes I agree, like with the Beyond G&E2 thing. It just seems like they took a popular franchise and slapped their shit over it. And I didn't even play the first one. Other times I don't, like with people who bitch about how GOW doesn't have the same combat. It's too single enemy focused etc.
