Some tips.

-Remember, there is ALWAYS a shortcut to the boss, no matter how well hidden it is. Just look for it.
-If all else fails, you can always just run past everything.
-If you want the game to be easier pick the axe as your starting weapon. If it's in two-handed form, you can hold down R2 to do the over-powered spin-to-win attack. You don't even have to learn to parry.
-Old Yharnam and it's boss early in the game are hard as a motherfucker, but you could just skip them.
