I still feel like they're taking two steps back here. Shulk and his close friends were all 18, and he was a pretty wise and mature for his age. Now we play as Rex who seems to be the typical chuuni shota, and they have tits mcgee in there for /ss/ points. And the english voice acting was extremely suspect, although to be honest it wasn't great in XCX either. The character design is terrible as well, I know the first is a clusterfuck, but I sincerely hope we can change Rex's armor, its some of the worst I've ever seen. Everyone looks like some Tales reject too, fucking hell.

The ONLY complaints I have about this game so far is the flat as fuck voice acting and poor textures. Hopefully they update the textures for release, since I know for a fact that Switch can handle at least BotW tier graphics. Hopefully the voice acting is better than expected too.

The soundtrack is fucking amazing, and I'm used to the artstyle since I have nothing against anime.

If you think that Automata's ost is a retread of Nier's you have ear problems.
Even remixes sounds fairly different. Grandma and Grandma Destruction are two different things altogether. Things like Vague Hope, City Ruins - Shade or Bipolar Nightmare destroy anything the original Nier soundtrack had and End of YoRHa is some of the most interesting thematic final boss themes possible. Not to mention an entire album of hacking arrangements some of which sound extremely interesting on their own like Sound of the End.
