So did anyone else actually really enjoy the campaigns of black ops 1 and 2? I certainly did.

Frank Woods is a fuckin badass and my favorite cod character for sure. I'm trying to make my Rising storm character look like him but you don't get many options. Trying my best though.
>>
>>380268461
They were pretty good. Blops 2 to me added a lot more to the way a COD story was done
>>
oh and blops 3 fuckin sucked. Without Alex, or Frank, shits boring yo
>>
Would have made a better movie
>>
yeah, it was pretty solid even though the gunplay was ass
>>
>>380269249
Never thought about this but yeah Black Ops 1 & 2 had the most likable characters in the series
>>
I liked Black Ops II alot, that whole game in general was one of the best CoDs
>>
>>380269249

Would def watch a blops movie. Who would play Frank/Alex/Resnov/Hudson..etc?
>>
Yeah, Woods is cool, but I really disliked Treyarch's juvenile obsession with gore and brutality.
>>
>>380268461
YOU CANT KILL ME
>>
>>380269508
Bruce Willis for Hudson?
>>
Yeah I did. Blops 2 was crazy, I can't believe they brought back Frank but I was extremely let down that Blops 3 didnt follow on any plot points from the previous games besides using the same biological weapon of mass destruction
>>
>>380269508
Casting would already be half done. Hudson was played by Ed Harris (and Micheal Keaton in 2), Ice Cube played Bowman, Gary Oldman was Reznov. Hollywood people seem to love doing COD games now.
>>
>>380269508
The people who voiced them, obviously.

No really, someone give Sam Worthington a job, he has been MIA since the awful Clash of the Titans sequel
>>
>>380269637
WOODS! YOU LOOK LIKE HAMMERED SHIT!
>>
>>380268461
Glad to see I'm not the only one. The story over the 2 blops is the best I've heard of coming from a Cod game. There was so much potential for blops 3 but then they took a giant shit in our faces so they could keep up with the advanced warfare/infinite warfare games....makes me sick to see such great characters get thrown in the trash.
>>
>>380268461
Black ops 1 is unironically one of my favorite games of all time. I love the cold war US vs Russia shit. The guns looked great and the graphics, Imo, looked better than any other cod game since.

Blops 1 is genuine fucking 10/10 COD gameplay through and through every single mode and map

truly treyarch are a god amongst men

i liked the neutrality that they showed in bo1 with the nova 6
the 'bad guys' come in looking for a powerful bioweapon and as they find it, the NATO 'good guys' rush in to try and take the bioweapon for themselves

only reznov understands that the bioweapon is too powerful to let any world power attain
i thought that whole sequence was very well done
>>
Blops was the best COD game. Best zombies. Best guns. Best gameplay.

Did you pay your respects?
>>
>>380268461
I even somewhat liked BO3 campaign. While it's nowhere near the level of BO1 and 2, the idea of a CoD game being a GitS ripoff is fucking crazy. Too bad David Goyer left, without him the story was too much of a clusterfuck.
>>
>>380268461
I'm not a big fan of modern Call of Duties where you are a part of some small special unit, but BLOPS story made it very enjoyable. I also liked the cold war setting. Still, best game from that timeline is World at War.
>>
>>380270975
Aye, stood at the other end and teleported back when pressing the button, amazing.
>>
>>380268461
Honestly the twist at the end of Black Ops was one of the only times a game really surprised me. That and "would you kindly" from Bioshock are top tier twists.
>>
>>380268461
That WWII section with the britbong commandos with Stens was pretty sweet aside from that all I remember from it was stealth camo and saving that Big Boss looking prick from in front of that missile silo.
>>
>>380271354
"Surprise, you killed Kennedy!" was a pretty good twist, I thought.

Infinite Warfare's campaign was structured pretty well (except for the fact that it apparently took place in the same fucking day), but Black Ops 2 has my favorite campaign of the whole series. It did a really good job of having every level build up to something and it didn't disappoint. Plus it's the only fucking COD game you can go through all those Michael Bay action movie heroics and still lose.
>>
>>380268998
Black Ops 2 was unironically the best game of 2012. Actually did something different for shooters for once.
>>
>>380271354
Eh they're not quite on Kotor or MGS levels, but they were solid nonetheless.
>>
WHERE
>>
>tfw CoD is now more MGS than MGS
>>
IS
>>
>>380272429
Uh what? Kotor had a twist you saw coming 50 miles away.
>>
>>380273214
And Bioshock didn't?
>>
>>380270996
putting the zombies guy in charge of single player was the worst thing they could have done
also compare the cast of 1 and 3, where their main actors were literal nobodies from absolute shit tier tv shows like days of our lives and ER
only good character they brought in was starbuck and she was barely even in it

they should have based the single player more around the specialists from mp, they did a pretty good job with those guys
>>
>>380271990

that was pretty cool. man i want another blops adventure with alex and frank. too bad it will never happen again.
>>
>>380270065
He's got the 4 Avatar sequels
>>
>>380268461
Never played 2, but 1 had a dumb and cheesy story. I've always like war games that you were just another grunt on the front lines , as opposed to a one man super army. WaW was my favorite COD campaign.
>>
>>380273809
Well, yeah. I wasn't defending Bioshock's twist at all.
>>
>>380272429
>MGS levels
>Implying MGS has a decent enough story to care about the shit twist.

>"You tried to make me kill my own president!"
>"Tried?"
>>
>>380271990
Was it ever 100% confirmed he killed him? The only thing I remember is Mason saying "Oswald compromised" during one of the torture porn sessions
>>
I liked both but I actually really enjoyed the campaign of AW.
>>
>>380270241
It's a 9/10 for me because they didn't have the pick 10 at the time
>>
>>380278928

I don' think it was meant to be confirmed. It was just meant to be like "ooohhh shit". The other evidence is a picture that shows Mason at Daeley Plaza. It's another oh shit moment. really well done. What a great game.
>>
UGHHH THE FUCKIN NUMBERS!
>>
>>380268461
I didn't like the direction 2 went in, though the choice driven stuff was cool to see in action
Black Ops 1 is my favorite CoD and CoD campaign for sure though, only 4 comes close
>>
Why did branching story paths and customisable loadouts never return after BO2?

BO2's campaign was almost MW1/2-tier for that reason alone.
>>
>>380268461
BO1 best in series, prove me wrong.
>>
>>380278170
Absolutely kino that part
