Is it just me or is it consumers that are killing video games?
>people wanting games that have a lot of good going for it to fail
>people not buying games based on the identity of the people who made it
>people not buying games because one person who worked on it happens to be a X Ethnicity Y Gender
>people saying they want good games, and when they get them, they ignore them because "it wasn't the franchise I wanted."
>people blaming the company or the publisher because a game doesn't come out on a certain console or PC, only to show that PC playerbases for anything that isn't a shooter is very light and every single console has had that one game genre that they always have
>good games are shown, "wow this looks bad because (arbitrary thing)"
And the worst part is, it isnt' even /v/ that has this mentality. /v/ actually does like video games from time to time. This is pretty much the rest of the internet the past 4 days. even fucking reddit.

Good. Fuck video games.

Yes.
>Buying bad games just because familiar names are mentioned or because of other kinds of marketing or because it's what everyone else fell for
>Buying consoles for sports games and multiplats
>Supporting bad business practices
>Supporting non-games
>Letting standards slip by being tech-illiterate where even the most basic shit is concerned and being wowed by screenshots
Fucking crab bucket.

Fuck you and OP. Games are good but people can do what they want. A lot of criticisms are fair and some companies even deserve to die sometimes.
