Morrowind is a bad game.
The gameplay is universally bad and you know it.
The game is 99% side content and the side content is 99% shitty fetch quests and "go kill the thing" quests, with next to no room for actual role-playing. Morrowind is barely even a role-playing game beyond the guild/house you join because nearly every quest is completely linear.
I don't care about how interesting the lore and setting supposedly are because the game never lets me interact with them or influence them. The Fighter's Guild is secretly run by the Morag Tong? Whoop-dee doo, guess it doesn't matter because I can't do actually do anything about it. I'm just killing random NPCs that I don't care about anyway, so who gives a shit?

There was fast travel in Dragon's Dogma and Dark Arisen added much more. It's been a few years since I played it but I'm pretty sure you can buy the fast travel item for 5000g the first time you go to the city and the vendor doesn't run out of stock.
