Years after years E3 is more and more a disappointment, to the point that surprises are more common during the year than during the expo.
What happened /v/ ? How is it possible to have a Sony briefing with almost no announcements and only made of new gameplay of already announced titles ? I'm sure that the Nintendo Conference will be the same.

Too many trade shows throughout the year. We still got TGS, Gamescom, Paris Game Week and Sony's own Playstation Experience.
Publishers are either spreading shit out or waiting to release content on their own terms

Social Media happened. It's impossible for in-development games to be kept secret now. Usually E3 announcements for games happened after the game was already in development for a few months, but now the moment devs start work on a new project they tweet out that they are working on it.
