Alright, is it console-restricted or NDS-only question? There are literally entire generations of RPGs on PC since 1980s where creating a full party was assumed to be baseline design. It is hard to believe someone would know nothing about those in 2017 given ease of googling, especially since you name two franchises that originated from those RPGs.
