Nintendo has been embracing the whole "region free" thing, and Zelda was released with a multi-lingual cast. Xenoblade x was released in 2015, and I recall Takahashi saying that work began on the next game as soon as it was released. Besides, XCX was their first HD game, and had built a new engine from the ground up. X2 may be using the same engine, and if it's a more traditional game like X1 then it doesn't seem that it would have a long development cycle like XCX
