Nintendo fan here, why does the fanbase I'm a part of not only defend ports but want them? I want new games, not something that will introduce only like 3 new characters and a game mode I won't even use that much as far as content goes.

I'm sold as long as it combines both the 3DS and Wii U stages
They'll probably bring back Ice Climbers but I cant really see them adding in new guys, I figure they'll just save it for the next title.

Unless they make this, add in like a few new characters and stages but then call it a day for Smash Bros until the next console after the Switch so that SoccerGuy can get and RnR from the franchise

And this greedy jew loves his profit. The Switch is throttled and can't get out to nearly as big of a audience right now because of Apple. The Switch has like 4 million? WiiU has 13. 3DS has 60 million. People love Smash, they'll buy anything Smash related.

If they add the characters/stages on 3DS and WiiU now. But BOTH the WiiU and 3DS whole stage library to the switch a lot of people will be inclined to buy the easier accessed one now and the not so urgently superior Switch version they can't even get right now later. Add in some better cosmetics, better stage editor, the single player and multi player modes for both versions and nearly every customer who buys that Switch DLC on WiiU and 3DS will buy the game on Switch eventually.
