Not mentioned anywhere. Most games don't get cross platform multiplayer.

I tried MH3U and thought it was pretty boring albeit charming. I've barely put any time into it, but the simple facts that the game opens up with fetch quests and kill this random monster quests, and the camera is pretty bad, immediately turns me off and I can't see my opinion improving if this is supposed to be representative of the rest of the game.
