Given all the talk about Beyond Good and Evil 2, it made me remember that I've never actually played the first game.

Is it actually worth playing through today? I've been looking at various information and reviews. From what I can tell, the game is entirely carried by it's story and setting. The gameplay doesn't do anything special at all.

The one comparison people kept making, was that it was similar to Psychonauts. While that game had a neat setting, I didn't enjoy actually playing it. So far, I'm leaning the same way with BGE.

Is it really worth a playthrough? Better off just watching a playthrough on Youtube? Skip it entirely?

I didn't like it very much, but I seem to be in the minority in this. Either try it out or skip it entirely, don't watch it on youtube.
