How do people enjoy this one?

I'm new to Fire Emblem, I beat all three routes of Fates on hard and I had fun but this is fucking stupid.

>Chapter 16: Naga's Voice
>spawn in area with narrow pathways, okay
>place bulky characters on frontlines and low hp units / low def units behind
>goes rather well, enemy commander says reinforcements are coming
>keep my positioning because I figure "well they could spawn anywhere since there's no forts to tell me where they'll spawn, I'm at the edge of the map so I should be safe"
>enemy reinforcements literally spawn RIGHT behind me and in the same exact turn they spawned in, they wipe out all my weak units

I'm okay with dying due to bad decisions from the player, or even random ass fucking counters, but this shit? Fuck this shit. There was no way for me to tell they were going to spawn there, and I get punished for absolutely nothing. Feels like tedious trial and error bullshit. Are any other Fire Emblems in the series like this specifically?
