I know this sounds paranoid and all but - is it safe to install and run Saints Row 2 after "fixes" that GOG applied and Steam version have as well?

I mean, I heard that game require specific CPU frequency and gets screwed when your own freq is different. But does it mean that now game change your CPU frequency? Wouldnt be that harmful?

Also, are the "gentlemen of the row" mods safe with all those fixes?

Im sorry for such questions but Im really scared and dont want to damage my own PC.
