The problem with this E3 is that virtually every single semi-interesting game showcased this year is a sequel/re-adaptation of a game franchise, some of which I haven't even played the initial installments of. Either they're in my backlog or I'm just not interested in the first installment.

Wolfenstein II - haven't played TNO or TOB
Dishonored 2 DLC - haven't played Dishonored 2
Ori 2 - haven't played Ori 1
Metro Exodus - haven't played Last Light
Life Is Strange 2 - haven't played Life Is Strange
AoE2 Definitive - played the shit out of AoE2 but still essentially the same game

Even the ones I'm not interested in are fucking sequels/prequels.

Assassin's Creed Origins - I stopped at AC2
X-COM 2 DLC we wuz mass halo effect edition - no real interest in X-COM 2 even though first one was great
Beyond Good And Evil 2
Far Cry 5 - haven't played any, not interested

There are probably more examples but meh.
I have more fun browsing Steam's upcoming game section.

It's only Sony and Nintendo left, so I guess we won't be getting any news on Call of Cthulhu.

Although I wish they had a conference like before, it honestly feels like half the time Sony takes E3 by the fact that they actually put effort into announcing shit.
