I'm a huge Spideyfag. For some bizarre reason I've picked up at least one Spidey game per system. I even bought fucking Amazing Spider-man 2 on Wii U to scratch that itch.

I want SM2 physics. I want WoS' aerial combat. I want 60 fps. I want a huge selection of costumes IN GAME to unlock. I want the Green Goblin to be the main antagonist because he always gets screwed over in games. Watching Spider-Man standing around exchanging punches with some thug is ucking ridiculous. Web of shadows combat or more, use Spider-Man's acrobatics, take the combat into the air or onto walls, use his webs.

I think the best way to make the combat better would be to simply make bullets very lethal once again. This would necessitate the use of acrobatics and webs, bouncing from thug to thug while always moving.

i know its not gonna happen, but i would like for a spidey game to have more emphesis on wall crawling. running is cool, but after playing spidey ps1 recently, i miss the novelty of slowly climbing up a wall. it gives the heights you achieve more emphsis. i liked how spidey 3 had dynamic crawling, like his hands and feet adjusting to the windows or poles. the amazing games also had the close camera angle so you can stay mounted on a wall and aim where you wanna go next. both are very spidey mechanics, but never got fleshed out well enough to be useful.

i think the issue comes from slow wall crawling and free roam, the two would be hassle to mix as one needs to move around the city quickly. Slow crawling can work in linear games but i feel it just cant happen in an open one.

I do miss the wall crawling aspects of that game though, the stealthy bank robbery mission where you crawl above enemies and through ducts was great. Stealth is really underused in spiderman games and hes a character very suited to it. All we got were those shitty bamham predator room knockoffs in the ASM games

I watched all the info and news on it and osmehow my stupid kid brain didnt make the ps2-ps3 connection. It looked like ass compared to what i had been watching the whole time. Shocking.

Then i bought ASM1 on ps3 and the disappointment continued. No other videogame character has been so fun yet so consistently disappointing

What is the best playtime ? I think it would be best if the main campaign last for about 25 hours and if you wanna get 100%, 50-57 hours.

meh. i had fun with superman returns. its shit, but i liked that they gave the city health instead of using a health bar for some reason. the island made no sense and was generic as fuck, and empty. it sure as shit wasnt worth full price, but since i got it as a gift it was fun. saving my money for months and hunting under school desks for coins to buy spidey 3 ps2 was truly heartbreaking.

I think all of your critiques of horizons graphics are wrong and i don't think we have seen enough of spiderman to make such a judgement. I know for example that all character models can look photorealistic under the right circumstances and i also know that all rocks have super high res textures when you get up close.
