just got yakuza 3,4,5,0, dead souls and Ishin. i have a few questions

Two is the best one in the series, some say, more people said that before Zero came out.
I guess you can skip them if you catch up with the plot elsewhere but they get slightly worse with each iteration.

Dead Souls is hot trash though.

im just concerned about Y1 and Y2

I never played Y1 and Y2 and I don't feel like I missed out on anything. Each game comes with a summary of all the prior games but outside of some characters appearing accross the series the plot of each is self-contained anyway.

Although playing so many Yakuza games you're gonna get burnout.

2 introduces the new chairman of the Tojo that appears in every game since and the Jingweon from 2 show up in 6. Other than that it doesn't introduce anything important but you should still play it. Play Dead Souls last and save Kiwami for after 0.
