Nigger, look up some benchmarks. The 1060 CANNOT handle 4k at 30 fps. Most games benchmark at about 25 fps average. And that's running a high end i7 so there's no CPU bottlenecking. As good as Ryzen is, a R3 chip would not fare well for gaming. There's no way that build would be usable by todays standards, let alone have any sort of future proofing. At minimum the Xbone X will probably last 3 years. That PC build would barely get through 2018 before needing to drop to 1440p.

Of course the only way to know for sure is to wait for a teardown and a look at the actual apu die. The point I was making is that DIrectX 12, like Mantle and Vulcan, was created to provide low level access to the hardware, reducing the driver overhead required. This is fundamentally a PC issue as consoles already historically allow low level access to hardware.

It has more teraflops apparently, more available system ram and a cooling system but for me it's not really an upgrade on the PS4 Pro. You will still be able to play the same games on PS4 Pro minus the Xbox exclusives and I bet the difference is barely noticeable between Xbox X and PS4 Pro.

I might pick up a cheap second hand Xbox One and wait for the trade in deals to start at Game. Last year I traded in my PS4 and paid £180 for a PS4 Pro.

Games sell me on a console not specs so I'll bide my time getting a Xbox X.

What the fuck sort of hardware surveys are you looking at? Ones from 2009? I checked just yesterday, and the majority of people own at least a mid tier PC according to Steam.

I mean, sure a 750 TI isn't good anymore in comparison to the 10xx range of graphics cards. But a 750 TI can play all modern released games at least on the level of (if not superior to) consoles.
You guys got it in your head that if it's not a 1080 it's shit but the dude I live with recently played Resident Evil 7 with a 750 TI. Sure he had to turn some settings down, but it was still better than playing it on a console.
