You know, all these years we've been ragging on EA and shit like CoD and Xbox being the reason gaming got so shit since the early 2000's. But I feel like Bethesda is actually the biggest offender and the one that really pioneered the scummy business practices that we've come to hate.
They started the 'shitty thing for more money than it's worth' DLC trend. And now, they're going to pioneer paid modding, for the second time.
We've been yelling at the symptoms, Bethesda is the cause. Why don't they get more hate?
At first I was a bit skeptical about the whole Creation Club announcement but when I read through their official website, it seems like this is a way for them to try and improve mods and make them better.
They will have quality control, collaboration between the game devs and the mod authors and a bunch of other procedures and guidelines.
I can't wait for the exciting new mods that will come out from this system. Its gonna bring polish and better integration for mods as a whole.
