Honestly, the game played quite well for me. The letterbox shit pissed me off, but once they fixed it I was able to enjoy it more. It was fun, and challenging. The gameplay(obviously) reminded me of RE4, my favorite game.

The problem for me was the story. It was absurd at times, and I honestly barely understood what was going on with the whole Mobius thing. The fact that you had to buy DLC just to get the full story was fucking stupid to me. They should have done what they did with RE4, and made the lady's story an unlockable campaign once you beat the main game. People would have liked it so much more.

Fuck I miss that era of cool Post-game modes/rewards. It's all been converted to DLC now.

I loved the first game and will definitely get the second one.

I have faith in Mikami, even though TEW was one of his weaker directed games but the potential is there. As long as he double downs on the psychological horror, tones down the action (no more turret sections for gods sake), reworks the upgrading system and flesh out characters, the game could turn out great.

The plot was very ADDish simply throwing you into sections with no thought or reason to them. Though the game reminded me of RE4 which I liked very much. But it has one of "those section" parts which makes replaying unenjoyable. Hate the instant death section in the mansion where Ruvik shows up to fuck up your day randomly.
