>Fallout 4 VR is a SEPARATE PURCHASE and costs a FULL 60 dollars.

Wow. So you know how we always joke about Bethesda selling the same game over and over again for full price? It's not a joke anymore.
>>
It looks so incredibly awkward to play. VR was a mistake.

I'm going to enjoy the steamspy numbers.

What the hell man, first the return of paid mods and now this?

You can't make this shit up.

It's not an easy 1 2 3 port.

All the serious sam games are an additional purchase, don't see people bitching about that.

Best they might do is have the VR version come with a normal copy of the game at some point or do what happened with Bioshock Remastered and give the remasters free if you have the original copy by release. Not sure why you faggots think they'll waste putting work on a game just to have it handed to you for free though.

Also

>buying VR

If you can afford to throw 600+ buckeroos to strap a screen to your face, then I'm sure you'll do the same tossing 60 dollars for this game
>>
They know people with VR have money to burn, and are desperate for content. Supply and demand you fucking /v/ babbies
>>
>>379998552
Lol I'm not even close to rich and I have a vive.
>>
>>379996870
>Must own at least a $700 computer made in the last two years
>Must own one of $700 VR headsets
>Must purchase an additional $60 copy of a game that Bethesda fans who'd be interested in this likely already own
>Mods, the sole reason to get the VR version of this, are going to be paid and you're "Fuck the anime girl" content will either be filtered out or be put behind a huge paywall

I'm really fucking hoping this bombs, which is very well should, but people who already paid that much might not mind paying more so it might actually be profitable. It's going to take another dev using the same concept but doing it for free and making more than Bethesda for them to change their mind.
>>
i don't own any vr shit yet but i'd pay 60 to have a large game if i did. truth hurts
>>
>>379998564
>putting work on a game just to have it handed to you for free though.
I wasn't aware they were recreating Fallout 4 entirely from scratch. And no one even ITT is saying it should be completely free.
>>
>>379996870
If you bought the game without VR you don't have the right to bitch that it doesn't have VR because that was never advertised. If you think a brand new version of the game with VR isn't worth as much as the game is normally you're probably retarded.

If you don't think there's going to be a "upgrade from base FO4 to VR FO4" option at a far reduced price, you're probably retarded. In reality it's going to be "if you buy the game for the first time VR comes free with it/at a slight cost during sales" or "if you already own the game it's a DLC option to get VR", depending on if you already own FO4.

I can't believe you faggots pretend that shit like this makes Bethesda some shitty anti-consumer company that just wants to squeeze every last dollar from the players even after they gave Skyrim HD out for free to anyone that owned the original on Steam. They do some stupid shit some times but as far as this stuff goes they have a better track record than most companies.

>>
>>379998941
Well then stop being a braindead moron, because you're clearly doing that right now. The new version of the game having it's own listing does not mean the VR functionality won't be added as a separate DLC for the base game.

If anything, given that the VR version has the same price tag of $60 (meaning it's basically "free" for new customers) they'll probably price the VR DLC version for base Fallout 4 at $10 or so.
>>
>>379999091
>If you don't think there's going to be a "upgrade from base FO4 to VR FO4" option at a far reduced price, you're probably retarded.
They're selling it for $60 right now. I own Fallout 4 on Steam, and the only option to purchase the VR version is to pay $60. You can't just add things like preorder sales and loyalty sales later. Steam doesn't have preorder price guarantee, and I don't think they like having to pay support staff to refund a bunch of copies of a game because it's just all-around cheaper all of a sudden but they already charged people $60 for it.
>>
>>379998541
>Do you even own a headset? Because I get the feeling you're bitching just to bitch.
Do you even get paid by Bethesda, cuz I get the feeling you're sucking their dick just to suck their dick.
>>
>install fallout 4 VR mod
>no fucks given
>>
>>379998564
>if you can afford something thats 600$ then you should blindlessly throw away 60$ on something you've already paid for

first off, $600 isn't a lot
secondly, there's a thing called sensible spending. buying a product twice because it has a shitty gimmick added is not
>>
>>379999287
Fuck mate, that's why we pirate. Why the fuck they think anyone here wants to pay over $100 for a fucking video game is anyone's guess.
>>
>>379999524
that's what I thought.

>>379998729
You literally only need a 970 to run vr.

Most people with good computers upgrade every so often anyway.
>>
>>379999764
that's what you thought dumbass? I do own a headset, but you're just a sad fanboy, wonder which one of our opinions about the software that runs on vr headsets is more important.

No matter how much you suck the dick of a company, they will never care about you. You are pathetic.
>>
>>379998729
Shit nigga just how fucking stupid or more than likely young are you. VR is still in its early adoption stages given the scope of the fucking thing and with alot of early adoption of things shit takes a lot of money to best enjoy.

Shits like saying why bother with anything new and current when one can just enjoy the old and dated for a way lesser price.

yeah the prices are dumb but shit is always the case with early adoption. Quit being such a dumb sheltered fag m8 so you can stop whining about the obviously simple shit like if you had some sort of actual grandiose point to make.
>>
>>379999478
>They're selling it for $60 right now. I own Fallout 4 on Steam, and the only option to purchase the VR version is to pay $60.

It's half a year away from release and barely an hour since they revealed it for fucks sake. Why do you assume they aren't in the process of adding it now or will add it within a week or two, knowing that if any mongoloid pre-purchases this DLC they can just refund it and buy the cheaper version instantly? Bethesda doesn't own Steam, they don't give a fuck if Steam gets refund requests.
>>
>VR is incredibly dead and small market
>HUR DUR LETS CHARGE $60 FOR A GAME THE COUPLE THOUSAND PEOPLE MIGHT BUY

I can't wait to watch the numbers fail and the VR meme truly dies.
>>
>>379996870

>>
>>379999863
Prove it motherfucker.

I'm not a fanboy at fucking all actually, I don't even care about the fallout franchise desu, I may get this because of the lack of content otherwise, but fallout isn't a good series
>>
I bought FO3 when it was on sale a little while back. I bought it specifically because I knew they were working on a VR mode for it. I haven't played it yet because I wanted to play it first in VR.
Yes I'm mad.
>>
>>379999996
You think people are rapidly adding games to Steam as they're being announced at E3? They're already in the system and set to become available at set times. If there was going to be a cheaper DLC option for people who own the base game, they would have added them both to Steam by now, or hold off adding the VR listing until they could add everything. It doesn't matter that Bethesda doesn't have to do Steam support or that they're a shit company, they are at the very least professional enough to not put a big game release up for sale accidentally because "lol why not if we fucked up people can just refund like lmao, we don't have to process that."
>>
>>379999964
Nigger calm down, this shit should be free or at the very least discounted for people who already own the game. Charging full price is just extremely presumptious, it's saying Bethesda knows the market for this is nothing but nerds with money to spend so they're charging as much as they practically can even though they know it'll piss people off. Same with paid mods.

There's literally not a single time this kind of strategy has helped a company in the long term either. Someone is going to come along and do the same shit better and cheaper and people will slowly stop buying Bethesda crap until they change their policies.
>>
>>380000301
>buying a game because of something coming out a year later, when you have no intention of playing it in the near future
The base game will probably be much cheaper than what you bought it for by the time Fallout VR comes out.

WE ALREADY KNEW THIS. WE WERE TOLD TO EXPECT DOOM VR TO BE THE SAME (a full port of the existing game, at full price). AT LAST YEARS E3, WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED THESE.

FO4VR may or may not include all DLC. If it does it's fine. If it doesn't they're fucking high on their own farts, the poor deluded cunts.

DOOM VFR *not* being a full price full port is actually more concerning. We no longer have any idea what to expect, and the $30 price point doesn't tell us ANYTHING when it comes to most VR games so far.

>>380004843
You say that as if there was no waste-exploring in New Vegas. But to answer your question, it doesnt even have to do with politics, it has to do with that sensation that your actions actually have a tangible impact on the environment. New Vegas did a great job of that, and FO4 was missing it badly. You can see that with how often "radiant" quests with no impact and no real reward are thrown at you. It makes questing in FO4 feel that much more shallow.

>>380005172
Nobody understands 'Serious Sam Fusion 2017', including Croteam themselves. They now have four different versions of each Serious Sam game on Steam (Original, HD, Fusion, VR). Fusion apparently includes HD and Original, or is free if you already own HD. And you need Fusion to get VR, which is always $40 per game even though that's an insanely high price by any metric. And there's also a standalone Fusion meta-app which doesn't do anything on its own unless you own one of the proper Fusion games. And there's the standing wave shooter Serious Sam VR game which is a part of Fusion as well.

To get all three of the (decade+ old) Serious Sam games in VR (which are just their map data loaded in a common engine, Fusion) it costs over $100, possibly as much as $135 depending on what bundles you buy.
