I tried the demo and it run like fucking shit.
I don't have the best gayman PC, but I can run D44M with high settings at 40-50 fps, and D2 couldn't keep stable 30 with medium graphics, even when I switched the resolution to fucking 720p.

I love Dishonored to pieces, and I would have happily payed full price for D2, but if the devs can't bother making a game that isn't the worst optimized piece of software I've ever used, then I won't get it.
I guess I'll pirate it when I upgrade my computer.

Dishonored is part of the Elder Scrolls franchise. It's set in post-amaranth Lyg. Pandyssia is the Lyg of Akavir.

Dishonored is one of those games with horribly underused settings. There's so much cool lore in the ambient dialogue and journals and they do nothing with it.
I read the amazon preview of the novel set in Tyvia and that lore about the prison camps was so cool before the story went to mary sue empress shenanigans, why can't they tell stories as well as they can make worlds?
At least license it out for a 3.5 OGL supplement or something

There's not only that, but for exemple compare the first two real missions you get in D1 and D2. In D1 you gotta kill the High Overseer. The level is huge and you can go underground, through the grand entrance, or from above. You can try to save one guy while you're at it. Meanwhile in D2 your progress is very straightforward.

Dishonored always had strong world building and weak story, but Daud at least brings a hint of personality.

Well he did and didn't. Some anon who bought the book/novel said that Corvo said he "made the mistake of letting him go". So maybe he forgave him in the first game, but as the years went by he resented it.
