As someone who's played fighting games for years, I don't mind fighting games with easy inputs, I just don't want already existing franchises to become shallow husks of their former selves. I hope so, but Switch 0% will have cross play. PS4 and PC is up to the developer sony doesn't care but they have to pay. Additionally the netcode is a lot more complicated to make (ive read regarding SF5s PC/PS4 crossplay). Judging by the fact that they are so open about even porting it period its a possibility but I wouldn't bet on it.

if the port is a lazy one it could mean the netcode could be shit. however, because its happened so fast and on switch+other consoles i definitely think its going to have some quality. they said they're going to update it constantly after launch which also means fan poll characters could possibly get made and in. imagine if Curly was in because of some poll we didn't know about in japan? and they said they'll do more etc etc etc just one big IP character would get people to play almost any fighter (akuma in Tekken).
