I definitely meant the older GoW games. This one kinda pisses me off because I think GoW perfected camera in action games. Compared to NG/Capcom/Platinum Games who could never come close to perfecting it with camera problems cited in every action game, and hell even in some fights in the Soulsbourne games where camera got in your way, GoW didn't give player camera control while using the optimal view for each area/fight. just because you have options doesn't mean there's any sort of depth. The options you have in all three of the SoT games aren't really worthwhile. Picking up the weapon that feels best to you is a no-brainer, you don't need to concern yourself with picking a weapon to combat a specific enemy type. Using the environment is also generally a no-brainer because parkour attacks are safer and deal more damage. You could say that it requires some ingenuity to pull them off, but rooms are so cramped that you're rarely more than a few paces away from a wall.

PoP 08 looks beautiful to this day. Had good writing too, the exchanges between Elika and Prince were quite fun and also largely optional, since there was a trigger button specifically for them.
Platforming is good too. I don't think it's really all that easy either. People shit on it at the time because of the whole you can't die thing, it was different, but looking back all that really did was just save a needless load screen and gave you a second shot
