the contrast between the whimsical graphics and the brutality of what was actually happening was neat, but that's about it.

I wouldn't put this near Dark Souls, yet.

Its a "passive multiplayer" game. Its not co-op, its just you. The other people in the game are made by other players, and if your online it will add them to your game as NPCs. Kinda like Dogma's pawn system except minus the rift, you will just occasionally meet a player made NPC you can do stuff with. It was an open world survival game too, so not really Dark Souls at all

That said, it was 2014 when this shit was shown off.
