It's so you can throw a bomb in there or somethin'

It's a sign of posturing which is often done in subjectively challenging fights.
Animals know that getting into fights unnecessarily is a bad idea so they will try to intimidate.

Literally the only game I've seen where this makes sense is Monster Hunter. They open up fights with an intimidating roar in order to hopefully scare off the opposition, or at least shake it enough that it won't be at full fighting fury when they engage each other. When they get pissed off enough, they'll roar again to pretty much express that they're enraged. One monster even has a special roar that does damage and has knockback if you're too close to it. These cases are all relevant to gameplay, however, so it's not quite as simple.

Yeah this. Lions don't roar at the animals they are hunting/eating. It would give away the position during the hunt and serve no purpose when it's attacking. I have no idea why movies and games have monster roar then they are hunting/attacking. It's like watching a autist REEEEEE over nothing.
This is why silent things are scarier in games/movies, because part of our brain realizes that's how animals actually are.

Cockatiels/Parakeets aren't too difficult as pets. Good sized cage, couple toys, some good perches, decent diet, 1-2 hours out of the cage every day, pretty simple honestly.
It's when you start getting to the larger birds. I can't imagine how expensive/intensive the care and time required for something like a Macaw is or a Cockatoo. Fucking sad too, you see rich cunts on Youtube with their big pretty birds, but you know they're going to get overwhelmed with the demands of the bird, and drop it off at a shelter. Doesn't look like you know shit about turtles except that they have an archaeological record. They're barely surviving on our planet, despite mankind's best efforts to protect them. They can't swim for shit. Their shell offers them protection from a total of ZERO predators, and all of them in the wild suffer from some health issue or another.

Nobody knows how hard Great Whites bite because they've yet to successfully measure it. The hardest bite recorded from a live animal is from a saltwater crocodile and it comes in at around 5200 pounds per square inch (About 45 times stronger than a human)
It is also theorised that killer whales have stronger bites than crocodiles but they haven't been properly recorded either.
Interestingly, bull sharks HAVE been recorded and have the strongest recorded fish bite at just under 1400 pounds per square inch, which is easily enough to tear off a limb. In fact people are attacked/killed far more often by man-sized sharks rather than larger ones.

Good on you, educated anon. You sure told them.
There used to be this large crow back at my parents place. Every day it would land on the backyard and I'd give it some food.
It then moved on from the backyard to my window still and then into my room.
So every day I'd have a large crow knocking on my window, I'd let it in and gave it something to eat. Mostly it just spent its time chilling, playing with pens and such shit.
Every now and then it would bring in some stuff too and leave it on my desk, shit like spoons, keys and so on. Once it even brought a zippo that I still have.
My old man saw the big bird in my room one day and went "what the hell is that crow doing here", I just replied with "chilling". He just shrugged and left.
Crows are cool, I'd like one as a pet of some sort.
