Another first playthrough annoyance is making my create a character into a self insert power fantasy. It's boring, but in every game outside Mass Effect I did it.

My final one is pretty common. Hoarding resources for so long, I end the game without ever using them. Jak 3 was the worst for this reason. I only ever used the weakest yellow gun and never changed top light or dark mode because I thought I world need it later.
