Xbox 1 X is a cash grab centered around 4k quality but continues to lack actual utility, honestly a waste of money as it gives no incentive to upgrade. While I'm glad indie games are getting a bigger spotlight, especially the non-partnered smaller projects, and of course Anthem, Shadow of War, Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, and the like look like great additions and great new titles, I'd have to say this E3 has been a let-down. It can't be a GPU on the level of the 1080/1080 Ti. Why? Too expensive, even with economies of scale applied. Secondly? Those fuckers require a sizeable cooling solution.
These are the two go-to 4K cards, but they're complete non-starter options for the Xbone X.

Next is the 1070. Still too expensive to put in this after economies of scale. But here's a problem: The GTX 1070 can do 4K... in simplistic games, in old games. In a modern game with all the bells and whistles like Rise of the Tomb Raider or Metro: Exodus you're not hitting 2160p without diving into the 20s-30s.

So we're going to be looking at native 4K games with reduced settings to get them to run at 30 fps. Expect framerate drops.
