GPU definitely can die. Mine warps from its own heat if I turn off my PC after running a 100% load game like TW3 or FC4 I can hear my GPU heatsink make a cracking noise for 5 minutes.

Just saying it runs at 4k/60 doesn't mean anything unless we know what kind of settings are going on. The Nintendo Switch could play shit at 4k/60 if you fucked with the settings enough. It's meaningless without context and this industry is notorious for bullshots and lies.

Considering the lack of exclusivity, you can get a PC for cheaper than the Xbone with less performance or the open of more money with better performance.
Only use for the Xbone is if you're never gonna move from the couch, whether it be netflix/youtube/TV or gaming. The effort to get a PC to fit under a TV, get it connected, and get a working IR remote or controller is not comparable to just buying an Xbone, especially the X version.
