As a conference entertainment wise it was decent / good, the pace and presentation were fine and they mostly spent time on games. In terms of actually enticing me to buy an Xbox One (X), it completely flatlined.

I'd say their coverage has been fine. It's more the conferences themselves that have been uninteresting.
EA's conference exceeded all expectations, but it was still EA and the expectations was for them to be the bottom garbage.
And Microsoft's conference was just awful.

And they've been relatively void of surprises. With very few exceptions. So far I'd say that A Way Out has been the most and almost only notable surprise.
