The C stick on my new 3DS XL is f****** retarded. It's a launch model, so it likely has the same problem as most where the stick isn't as responsive.
Should I send it in to Nintendo or should I cut out the actual stick and replace it with a PSP cap?
Keep in mind that I had Homebrew on it once, so I don't know if Nintendo would be anal about that.

I bought those, work fine for me.
There are different sellers that sell colored caps as well.
