EA's conference has me slightly optimistic. I didn't except Star Wars Battlefront II to look that good. If they are really listening to the fans then it might actually be a good game. Nintendo aren't scared of piracy or people's expectations of them. They're just very reluctant to take risks on trying to revive a lot of their less blockbuster series when none of the big wigs personally want to helm a new entry for them.

Because all of those series lost sight of what made them good in the first place. F-Zero became too far removed from the simple elegance of the original game. Advance Wars moved the series into a more serious direction with a darker tone instead of the breezy lightheartedness of the first three games.
