I didn't run into any issues.

Siege of Dragonspear is okay, especially later on in the campaign, but you'll be overleveled for BG2 if you play straight through.

The npc project from gibberlings 3 is a must have, adds a ton of actually well written dialogue to the otherwise silent party members.
