Kind of. They put a dedicated team on this one. It has the physics based collision, the new AI, and Ultimate Team. It's a bit of a frankenstein meant to have most of the features from the console versions except the things that required Frostbite, which the Switch doesn't have a port of. It's a better effort than they put in for the Wii U version, but it's still inferior to the console versions. Story mode is the most glaring omission.

I didn't say having a dedicated team makes it good. I said they implemented most of the features from the console version, and have produced a better effort than most "last gen" FIFA releases like the travesty that the Wii U port was. Even just having Ultimate Team makes this version a lot more attractive. Yes, it's inferior to the console releases. But it looks like it's just about the best they could do without frostbite.
