Why even live

How does the class system work with all the unit variety? Does each "class" have different troopers you can pick. For example, does a basic infantry class let you pick between Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers, and Death Troopers?

Pretty sure the trooper type is restricted to whatever era the map is. But perhaps there may be some extra customization.
The classes themselves seem to be pretty close to their original BF2 versions. (Assault, Heavy, Support, Officer)

I forget which nucanon book mentions this guy, but one of them does.

Considering the live multiplayer showed clone troopers being led by an Imperial officer, I don't think they give a shit anymore.
