The environments are kinda bland looking. They're kinda... off. The characters and enemies look great. They have a kind of cell shaded anime look. But the environments are bland realism.
I think they should go with the same anime shader for the environments as the character.

Probably, from what I played last demo it had great music and the systems look interesting. The shaders on the environments could use a bit more tweaking to get it more gothic or fantastical.

More importantly, an aspect that has influence on every part of the game: Why has no one mentioned that the combat seems awfully simple, and menu switching seems to very dominantly present if you want more than 3 attacks.
Sotn was good also because of the large amount of attacks you could do without menuing. You can extend your backdash by transforming into bat. You can transfer divekick momentum into batform. You can do special moves with the wolf, switch to human form and cross gaps while attacking.
Sotn is a mechanical masterpiece and menu switching has prevented every metroidvania after it from reaching that plateau. But nooooo. If a model is re-used which is hardly noticable, maybe it's even because of story reasons, but nooo that is a fucking problem. WHO GIVES A SHIT. Menu switching was more of a problem in the GBA games because of the lack of buttons, once the series moved to DS you could alternate between different sets of skills without acessing the menus and you had more moves available than in SotN.
