MHA is the application of lessons learned from other shounens' fuckups. It doesn't rock the boat but it feels like everything I actually wanted from other action anime that they never gave me. Large cast of characters that cycles about in relevancy, used economically and never forgotten. Clearly defined power sets with strict rules of use and exploitable drawbacks that have to be worked around. Pacing that's not overly eager to get to get to life or death conflicts and is content to build to each arc villain. It's like the author through Naruto, getting progressively more pissed off, and finally decided he could do it better.
