There's very little actual choice in this game. Just tell that Vault-tec guy no at the start and see what happens. That's what most of the "choices" in this game boil down to. Bethesda didn't even think for one second about letting you join the raiders attacking Prestons group, nope you can only save the moralfags with the power armor etc.

Sadly this. You can put up all the walls and turrets you want, it'll still get periodically attacked badly enough that you need to go help them.

Choices had alot to do with fallout 4, you just had to have charisma of 10. That's all.

It just sucks so much.

I'm not a PC gamer, so my only frame of reference is F3, F:NV and F4, but even so I can say that while the combat and shooting was more refined, the plot and dialogue(which is the main selling point of Fallout for me) is horrendous.
