I don't get why they'd make GotG a telltale game, of all comic book properties. GotG should be a fun space action adventure series, not a barely interactive story game.

It's alright at best. Main plot is barely moving, judging from the 2nd episode it seems like each subsequent episode is going to spend a third of the episode on character backstories in cheap attempts for "muh feels", there are barely any dialogue choices to even make a passable illusion of your choices really mattering, what few attempts at humor are generally pretty bad, and action sequences are much less involved than most other TT games.

The only good TTG was Strong Bad's Cool Game for Awesome People.
