Let's be amazingly honest for a second, now that the dust has settled.
This game was great. Not the best game ever or some shit but great. It had a lot of special moments and just did open world and interaction better than other games. It even has dungeons which other open world games never have. Level design depth.
G.O.A.T.

What missed was shit to find, I loved exploration. But not just for shrines/seeds.

Zelda team took notes from From Software games and reintroduced sandboxy world back to the idea of Zelda.

Quality > quantity. The amazing things it had to find were actually fucking amazing. Like that blue horse, the dark forest with the cloud around it, Ganondorf's horse, some amazing locations. Hell, everything is optional, so even stuff like the Deku Tree were something you randomly explored and discovered yourself, comparable with a shitty factory in Fallout 4.

>Dark Souls
>anything sandbox
No.
And it has nothing to do with those disgusting Souls shit games. Back to NeoGAF with you.

Yes, lets be.
This game is 90% oversaturated colors, overused dof, and nauseating bloom. We criticized an entire generation of games on all three major platforms during the PS3/360 era for pulling off this shit and Nintendo got a pass because their consoles were too garbage to handle these effects.
Now that literally the entirety of Nintendo games are this garbage but now its okay because Nintendo is doing it.
So you want to be amazingly honest? Its another zelda in a line of a hundred zeldas, riding on the accomplishments of mechanics perfected by other games, with nothing original or unique to show for itself. But nobody will admit it because this is Nintendo, and the holy chinese overlord can do no wrong.
I agree OP. BotW is not the end all game. I don't think I can even say its the best Zelda game. But it was amazing simply because it did everything Zelda should have been doing for the last two decades, all at once. It was the Wind Waker and Skyward Sword we were promised, but never got.
If the sequel can improve on it, then it has the potential to be the best Zelda ever. And one of the best games ever.

>This game is 90% oversaturated colors
Usually people say it's the opposite.
>frustrated shitposters can't make up their mind

This is what makes it a 10/10.

Aonouma took inspiration from Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption. But the bulk of the game was just reviving the concepts from Zelda 1-4.
While Miyazaki of From Software has publically stated he took inspiration from Zelda. Not the other way around. And SOuls games aren't open world.
So much stupidity in this post.

But see this is the problem, it got criticized so this faggot is gonna collect his 20 cents from nintendo and blame everyone ,because the game is flawless and these imaginary people he has no citations of somehow state opposite of an argument that is supported by OP's fucking image.
This is why nintendo loyalists will always be a fucking joke.

The lighting varies.
>It even has dungeons which other open world games never have.
is this the first open world game you have played?
>>379623416
Yeah, because Witcher 3, FFXV, Skyrim, Fallout, Dragon's Dogma, Horizon, Far Cry etc. have dungeons with this kind of verticality, depth, general tightness and cross-room thinkery:

Or just fun platforming/skill-sensitive progression as in this webm.
Have you played even any open world games?
