When it short-circuits in a regular usb port it takes other ports with it, like the port my keyboard was hooked up to.

they are making shitty gaming mice now, because that's what retards want. I had simple logitech mice since over 15 years. I bought the same one multiple times to have it in case the same one breaks. They don't make them anymore, I lost one after 5 years and the other one is still working after 10 years. you can thank dumbass customers for that
>>
>>379613115
disagree with this
I use the g502 all the time. while I don't use some of the buttons, and it kinda looks ridiculous, the multiple DPI settings, "G-Switch" (aim button - temporarily changes dpi to whatever you set in software), and the fucking wonderful scroll wheel keep me.
of course, I didn't pay for mine, was gifted it. might feel different if i did pay.
they last for quite a while too, I had one for a few years and only got a new one because I had the Core (only blue lights) and wanted the Spectrum to match with my other shit. the only thing that had started to fail on the Core was the braided casing on the cord, and that was only because I have absolutely dogshit cable management and it probably got caught on a corner and pulled a bit too hard.

Anything below $250 is fucking shit.

Maybe buy a 3D mouse and control the camera with your cute little stocking wearing feet?
>>
>>379616862
>I just looked, could either be metal or some metal coating - still feels cheap, spongy and squeaks when you scroll slowly.
never noticed it squeaking. when it's in click-to-click mode it is a little spongy I suppose, but I like it. it doesn't make a giant clicking noise and it still provides a good amount of feedback

>That scroll wheel brake switch isn't exclusive to the g502.
weird, I've looked before and it seems like they've patented it, and the g502 is the only mouse with it I've seen. maybe I'm also gay at Google-fu.

>Maybe I got a model from a bad batch
sounds like that, or maybe there were older models that were crappy.

See still doing it.

I have heard of scripts to ignore the excess clicking but I also heard they cause problems occasionally. My wife is going to take apart my wife tonight and try to bend the spring to proper tension, should fix it for a while.

yep, fuck razers. On top of that my G15 keyboard is losing "ooomph" in some of its keys. FUCK me, I need a old clicklyclack 101 AT keyboard or something, something built like a brick.

I always ree when trying to buy headphones lately.
Everyone seems to put 4x triple double bassboost into their headphones to mask their overall shitty sound quality.

>>379617738
g710 (non +) is clicky and you probably can bludgeon somebody to death with it and it still works.
Also pricey.

Some people on youtube say you can just clean it out and it will stop double clicking.
>>
>>379617725

Well, a 3D mouse might be somewhat expensive, theres something called a stinkyboard thats basically 4 buttons but its not analog. There must be a cheap altenative.
>>
>>379617925
They're not inherently bassy, it's more that they can actually handle bass when you put it through it. My go to test is the FFV soundtrack. If Exdeath's theme doesn't sound like the strings are piercing your skull while the bass is making you rumble at the same time, the phones are no good. Then again I'm no audiophile, thank fuck. I pity the man who has to spend a grand on headphones and listen to lossless or they genuinely can't enjoy their music. I guess it's like being a graphicsfag, once you know shit like screen tearing and screenspace reflections exist you can never unsee it, whereas most people don't give a shit about it if they're ignorant to it.

I also heard super glueing in some of the worn parts would do it, but the more I read up on it, the more the blame falls on d2fc-f-7n, a piece of shit switch found on all Razer mice. It will get cleaned out when we take it apart regardless, but bending the spring back will probably actually fix it. At least until wears down again.

Fuck Razer.

Audiophiles are borderline insane anyway.
There is a difference in wanting good sound quality and actually needing it / being able to perceive it.
Not every kind of music will profit from 1000 headphones and even less people will be able to hear the difference.

>>379618491
well the g710+ seems to be at 60 bucks atm - non plus is still 120...
Actually no idea what is different but they probably cut down on the build quality.
>>
>>379618784
Got the G710+ at Walmart for $25 a few weeks ago. It's p. good.
>>
>>379616862
I just bought one and haven't noticed any squeaking, or any other issue. The only thing I don't like is the free scrolling keeps scrolling up or down when you use it and stop it with your finger, then let go.
>>
>>379618840
if it's anything like the non plus i bought for 100 bucks years ago, that's some pretty nice deal.
But no buyers remorse on the 100 bucks - since i game with the kb on my lap i broke 3 cheaper keyboards with dropping / bending.
That's a problem the 710 doesn't have.

>>379619005
Maybe i just had bad luck with my g502 - but even without the problems i have it still doesn't feel as comfy to me as other mice.
It's a little bit too short for my taste.

protip: hit the switch while its moving. it can handle it. or, stop it with your finger then immediately hit the switch after.
fair warning if you keep the g502: the amount I switch between clicky and web mode makes me almost uncomfortable if I need to use a different mouse for whatever reason. its a blessing and a curse

My interaction with logitech support was the opposite. Had a guy who obviously did not understand english well asking for information I already filled in repeatedly over a month long span. Eventually just gave up and now I have no plans to ever buy anything from logitech again.

I showered in isopropyl alcohol and let it sit overnight and it works fine now.

Manufacturing is so advanced and so much is known about making good audio devices that there's no reason we can't have $10 headphones that are as good (perhaps not as comfortable) as expensive ones from previous generations.
