Both seem unlikely as Pikmin 4 hasn't been shown off at all since it's announcement so it might be in development hell. And with Hey! Pikmin coming out soon I doubt they'll risk sales like that.

Metroid is the least likely of the two. Not impossible, but it seems like one wants to develop for it.

Like other anons said, Animal Crossing has the highest chance of an announcement.

Dreamland is a fairly short simple stage based platformer.
Adventure has multiple hub worlds, way more bosses, secrets, the addition of the copy abilities, and a true final boss.
Super Star is multiple different small games, hence Kirby Fun Pack.
Amazing Mirror is a multiplayer Metroidvania with a huge interconnecting world.
Robobot is a strange mix of Super Star, Adventure, and Dreamland 3.

The closest games in the series in terms of mechanics and overall feel are the three most recent games. And even then, they still have wildly different aesthetics, gimmicks, story, and side games to make them feel distinct enough.
It sounds like you only played like one or two games.

Personally I feel Kirby has been as different as each Pikmin game. Only 1 & 3 really feel the same at all, Pikmin 2 is a lot more exploration-based with you focusing on collecting everything you can in randomly generation caves while avoiding hazards, Pikmin 1 & 3 focus on time-management and how to execute/plan everything in a fast amount of time. Even when comparing 1 & 3 you can see differences due to Pikmin 3's focus on story & character interaction and how a lot of areas are structured. Also I feel Pikmin 3 really likes relying on the Challenge Mode more than the other 2 but I'm not really going to say that's much different since Pikmin 2 also had a shitload of challenges. Oh god, that double Waterwraith one in 2. Also of course each game have new Pikmin types that effect gameplay and puzzles and in Pikmin 3's case you get new abilities like the lock-on and charging features since the swarming ability from 1 & 2 are gone.
