I just play all the old games I missed out on as a kid because I'd often have to choose between games at Blockbuster or something. If I had picked another game back then, who knows where I'd be now.
New games just don't interest me, people say its just nostalgia and the old games were worse, but how come I can enjoy old games I never played before? Anyways op I don't know the solution. Maybe it's not the games themselves but the memories of playing htem during a time when you weren't worried about issues like money and companionship.

Also, there is no shame to lose interest in video games. I play with my friends occasionally and sometimes on my DS or PSP. If you have the money, you can find yourself another hobby.

...but also this. Piracy takes some of the luster out of the whole experience for me, somehow. Especially with emulation since there are almost always inaccuracies.
>be kid
>snes belongs to both my brother and me
>lots of games but only a few I like
just keep replaying the same games over and over
>still young
>n64 belongs to both my brother and me
>not many games, get a few for my Bday and christmas
just keep replaying the same games over and over
>brother buys his own console (gamecube)
>not allowed to play
>play it in secret when he's gone
>he knows and beats me because of it
just keep replaying the same games over and over
>teen
>get Ps2 as Bday + Christmas gift (meant to be my own)
>still let my bro plays from time to time but he rarely asks anyway
>2 games a year, 1 for birthday, 1 for christmas
just keep replaying the same games over and over
>same thing with Ps3
>adult
>left console for PC gaming
>buy any game whenever I want from steam (and pirate a lot)
>so many games to play, too many games
barely feel like playing anything
It is the plethora of choice that does it.
You freeze with the options available.
