So a shitty discount Mount and Blade, got it. The reason why so many people love M&B is because it simply doesn't have a scripted story and you have to make your own story.

Game looks pretty interesting from an RPG and small-scale combat perspective. However it's very questionable how 'battles' will play out, and also how combat with multiple opponents plays. I suspect the game will work on many 'lock-on' presumptions to achieve its rich duelling mechanic, which may be at the cost of group combat and a universal combat system. Mount&Blade is the opposite of this of course, where everything is universal and you can attack/block in any direction at any opponent. What the games are trying to achieve is very different, but I did hear the dev say there will be big battles at one point in the story, so it's possible they may not be as great as one might imagine.
