Sometimes I wonder what the point of magic is. Usually it's just another way to do damage, only using INT rather than STR. So it accomplishes the exact same thing as using a sword. It's just a flashier way of killing.

Going for blaster builds in tabletop games like DnD is fucking stupid. Magic is used for complete battlefield control.
