It looks like a lazier than normal 3rd version and I don't even like gen 7. It's the first Pokemon game I've put down and never finished, and made me realize I've been waiting for this series to get good again since Black and White came out and sucked ass.

Sun and Moon finally made me break off with Pokemon once and for all. It had been dead for two generation already and I hadn't even realized it

Because we know absolutely nothing about it. World design was one of my favourite parts of SM so I'm not worried about Alola again, I just want to know more of what we're getting.

The only third versions I played are Emerald (because my brother owned sapphire I just played his sapphire a lot so emerald was mine) and Black 2, which is a sequel sssooooo I need to wait and see how much this game changes. If they give me my PWT that I was owed or at least make more use of battle legends in that battle tree, that'll be a little more of an incentive.

I probably would have considered it if it had been a single version, but no, Game Freak's just making bank once again off of their laziness. Not to mention that I'm done with the 3DS, and it's time for everyone to move on to the Switch.

I don't know what it adds or changes. For all I know "new pokemon" means like one new variant and that's all. Preordering a game you don't know anything about is retarded. I mean who knows it could go down as GF's most terrible version by a fluke. Once I actually know what it is it would still be dumb since Pokemon is almost always available and never hard to obtain. I can play this glorified DLC for free on my hacked 3DS. Why would I pay for more Pokemon games after the absolute train wrecks that were S&M? Shilling out $40 tells GF that the game quality is fine, when in reality it isn't. That said, if they're able to retcon Alola entirely and give it actual content, it might save Gen 7. I've also lost faith in modern GF. Remember when XY came out, and then ORAS came out a year later with new Megas? GameFreak made a statement that they wouldn't patch XY to be compatible with the new Megas, and as a result, what were the newest games in 2013 became irrelevant online in a year.

I feel like they're going to do that with Alolan formes or some shit in Ultra, in addition to the game probably being rushed and laggy as shit.

I played through SM and a decent time but my feelings over all about the game was "okay, sure". It was dull and there wasn't much excitement behind anything. If the goal was to make it feel like a vacation to not-hawaii, then it didn't feel interesting. The elite 4 was fun though. Team Skull was funny but if they were going for gags then the island challenge should have been more enthralling and Team Aether with Ultra Beasts actually having an impact.

Also they removed rotation battles, my favorite. They should at least have a hard mode to make the battles not feel like a waste, and improve the dull environments. HGSS and XY are examples of good town enviroment, and DPPt have route designs, like the climb up Mt. Coronet.

I need to know it's an entirely new story like bw2. If it's not then I can't replay it. Just a few new formes aren't going to convince me to waste my time.

It's a damn shame about S/M. The replayability in that game is actually pretty high in my opinion, but doing replays is a complete pain in the ass because you sit through all the dialogue and cutscenes again.
