This would make sense as a statement if Nomura had any actual control over what is shown and when.

He had a trailer ready for FFVIIR months ago but Square only let him show a few screenshots, for example.

Nomura is way more of a mere cog in the machine than people seem to think he is. Kitase is the one people should be pointing fingers at.

It's not just his fault honestly. Square clearly just accounces games way too early when all they have is a CG trailer, Nomura even admitted that they showed KH3 too early.
I'd still like to see at least one new trailer for each game, i mean they must've made some progress
