All the games I was hyped for in previous that did release ended up fulfilling all my expectations. If you have been around long enough it's pretty easy to tell when a game is gonna be great, and when its all fake hype.


P5, Nier, bloodborne, warhammer total war, breath of the wild, all of these ended up being great. And please don't cherrypick a game in this list that you think is bad, I don't care about your opinion, that's not what this post is about.

Often, E3 is the place that the first real information comes out.

This year its Cyberpunk2077, maybe. Probably not though. There might be a non-Souls Fromsoft game or something too.

I'm always excited to watch E3. I like to guess which parts of trailers and presentations are complete bullshit, then compare my guesses to reality when the games release.

Ubisoft is usually the easiest one, since I just call shenanigans on everything, and 99% of the time I'm right. Can't wait to see what Farcry 5 could look like if they didn't have their head up their ass.

I watch just for potential JP localization announcements.

Inb4 learn Japanese, I have trouble retaining visual information so Kanji is impossible for me.

It's easier for me to learn things without form like rules.

The only reason I watch the EA conference is because I know it's going to be a trainwreck like it always has.

I've been here for more than ten E3 press conferences, and I'll say I AM getting pretty jaded of the whole affair.

Seriously, if I have to hear the words "Content" and "experience' one more goddamn time, I'm going to murder Andrew House in his sleep.

You learn to make your own fun though; this year, I'm just excited to hear an Activision rep talk about Call of Duty WW2, and say "Like nothing you've ever experienced" without even a hint of irony.
